I was a day player on HGTV's Showhouse Showdown back in April where I was offered a full time position in their post facilities at Hollywood Center Studios. We shot 12 episodes throughout the US and debuted the show in October.

Of all the things I learned on this show, the 2 I find most important are that people in post lead a cake life compared to the grueling schedule of production people and that if you hear people call rooms 'spaces' several thousand times you will eventually lose faith in interior designers all together.

I worked on VH1: Divas this Fall.  The show was hosted by Kathy Griffin and had acts such as Katy Perry, Sugarland, Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson and Paramore.  The show was shot live and distributed on VH1.

I was fortunate enough to reconnect with several old college buddies on this gig including Max Wheeler, Jamie Schultz, Holly Asarias and Diliana Deltcheva.

I worked on the Terriers promo for FX this summer.  Shooting took place in Ocean Beach which was cool since I lived there for 3 years.  I've uploaded some production stills and their respective videos, it sure looked different on the monitor compared to how it turned out.  The show debuts on FX on September 8th.

Go here if you want to check out some more info about the TV show.

In collaboration with High Noon Entertainment and The Food Network I worked on "Family Style"from June to August in an effort to launch Food Network's first dramatic reality TV debut.  In a run & gun style shooting environment we captured a season's worth of cooking, drama, comedy and culinary competition.  The Maggiori family makes their debut here, a family that owns several San Diego and Phoenix based restaurants.  Joey owns a handful of "Joey's BBQs" in the San Diego area which just franchised and sold 50 units to the Clarl's Jr. brand. The show's pilot aired in December of last year and the first season kicks off on August 26th on the food network.

I worked on
TLC's What Not To Wear in May which proved to be quite fun.  We shot 4 sections of 4 different episodes over the course of 4 days.  One of our locations was the Midway Aircraft Carrier downtown San Diego where we landed a helicopter onto the flight deck to surprise one of our contestants. We also shot at the Clairemont skatepark where I was...fortunate(???) enough to skateboard into one of our shots and cheer on Stacy London and Clinton Kelly as they surprised the woman who was chosen for a makeover.

Hollywood Heights was filmed on location in Los Angeles and San Diego, California.  This 60 minute TV pilot was a huge project and involved mobilizing hundreds of hands from dozens of departments to make it a reality.  We began pre-production in August of 2008 and wrapped principal photography that December.
Once all was said and done, Hollywood Heights was entered into the Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards and won for Excellence in Production!  Check out an article the San Diego State News Center wrote to recap the win.
